Fighting, fashion and partying. Isn’t this what Miami is all about? Here’s what’s going on this week…

Amateur Karate National Championships - Competitions will be going on all week with finals beginning Sunday, July 1 at 5:00pm.

Marlins Baseball - The Marlins will be hosting Tampa Bay through Wednesday, June 28th and the Boston Red Sox Friday, June 30 - Sunday, July 2.

CanDoCo Dance Company and Victoria Marks - A one-night-only dance performance on Wednesday, June 28 at 8:00pm.

Fashion Show at Macarena - Featuring Libardo Saavedra, Carolina Brasil, and The Spot on Wednesday, June 28 at 9:00pm.

For the Sake of Sake - Doraku will host a sake tasting on Thursday, June 29 at 7:00pm.

Miami Fight Night - Six bouts of men and women’s professional boxing will take place at the American Airlines Arena Thursday, June 29 at 7:30pm.

Party at Funkshion - Thursday (June 29, 2006) is the day to party at Funkshion. Party starts at 9:00pm.

Dinner Party at Spy Lounge - “Members Only” is the name of the party at Spy Lounge every Thursday (June 29, 2006) 9:00pm - 2:00am.  Looks like the DJ agrees with Miami Beach 411 users.  He’s left Casa Tua for Spy Lounge…

Industry Night - Thursday (June 29, 2006) night party catering to those with late work nights. The party goes on 10:00pm - 2:00am.

Happy Hour at Ola - A Brazilian-style happy hour on Fridays (June 30, 2006) 5:00pm - 8:00pm.

Happy Hour at South Seas - South Seas also has a Friday (June 30, 2006) happy hour 5:00pm - 12:00am with specials 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

50’s Inspired Fashion Show - There’s a new store in Miami. Check out the 50s inspired summer collection put together by Daszign at Social Miami on Friday, June 30, 2006 at 9:00pm.

Prelude Friday Nights - “Foreplay or your Friday” every Friday (June 30, 2006) 9:00pm - 2:00am.

RBD - Live in concert at the American Airlines Arena Saturday, July 1 at 7:30pm.

This Is How It Goes - Miami’s premiere of this new play by Neil LaBute about an interracial love triangle in a small town happens Saturday, July 1 on the Gable Stage at 8:00pm.

Laurence Gartel’s 50th Birthday Party - Or that’s what the press release says.  His website says he has a new DVD coming out and watch for release parties across the country. Great multi-tasking if it’s both! The party is at Social Miami Saturday, July 1 at 9:00pm.

1st Annual Haititan Jazz Music Festival - A musical event with some big names at Bongo’s on the Terrace at the American Airlines Arena Sunday, July 2 at 6:00pm.

Crystal Method DJ Set - Party’s at the VooDoo Lounge on Monday, July 3 at 10:00pm.
