The Bahamas
island chain is located in the Atlantic Ocean, east of Florida, north
of Cuba and the Caribbean, and west of the the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The islands extends 760 miles from the Florida coast on the north-west
almost to Haiti on the south-east. The group consists of 700 islands
and 2,400 cays with an area of 5,358 square miles (13,878 km.). Below
