Previously known as Banana Bungalow (the former hostel changed hands
in 2002), this two-story hotel has been transformed into a 21st-century
budget hotel with a low-key hostel feel. When the owners remodeled,
they added lots of original artwork and cleaned
up the large outdoor pool and sundeck. There’s a DJ booth
on site (the sound system is industrial strength), a small movie
theater, a pool table, and a video arcade.
The Hotel serves a free breakfast and there
is a communal kitchen available for use. The open-air café
hosts weekend barbecues and looks out over the pool deck. There is
also a popular 40-foot-long bar inside.
Parking is free, unlike many Miami Beach hotels.
A computer with high speed Internet
access is available in the lobby.

We 1st stayed at
this Hostel when it was the Banana Bungalow early 2000's. We love
to find out of the way places & those which are not the norm.
If you expect high class, resort-type accomondations, don't stay here..but
we loved it; where else can you stay on Miami Beach, across from the
beach & walking distance to the Miami Convention center - AND
no fee to park! We go to the boat show every year-staying here, we
don't pay to park & can walk to the show & the rates are well
below $100/night. Sure, it'snot the Ritz - who can afford that! but
we're walking distance to everything-great restaurants & you can
even afford to eat out at the inexpensive rates at the hotel...Breakfast
is funky by the pool & music by the pool at night & even a
tiny movie theater.

This is is a complete
rip-off - the website site is the best thing about it! Dirty, smelly,
and its makes you wanna lock those doors and windows at night. Don't
ever bother with this place. I'm embarrassed to admit having stayed
there.

Creek was very
good for a hostel place: clean, ensuite bathroom and swimming pool.
rubbish breakfast, but who cares?
would never go to it as to a hotel though but a very great and FUN
place to stay over if you are young and travelling the world. go for
it before they demolish it (and that is happening soon!)

Turn around while
you still can! This is by far the worst hotel me & my friends
have ever stayed in. I'm not even gonna go into details. Just to say,
one star is too high a rating for this.
