IKEA: Waste of time

What a waste of time. First, it’s far. Then you get there and the Sunrise Police Dept. has a 1 mile detour that brings you back to the same spot you started in so that everyone has to exit and enter from the same point. They actually have overflow parking at the Bank Atlantic Center then shuttle you in. That’s fine if you don’t have kids with you. Once you enter the store everyone is made to go up the same escalator, everyone has to follow the same path through the maze they call IKEA. Once you pass something, forget about it, you can never turn around to find it again because the 2,000 people behind you are all being herded in the same direction. Imagine Brandsmart on the busiest day of the year, imagine the loading dock outside that Brandsmart with a 1,000 people waiting for a t.v., now multiply that times 50 and that’s IKEA. I’d rather pay a little more and not subject myself to that again.

I was disappointed. I been to the IKEA in California and it was nothing like the IKEA here in Ft Lauderdale. I am not an animal to be hearded like I have no brains, the people who go to this IKEA have no manners, the staff is overwork, the place is totally in disarray and the showrooms look very cheesy and not done with any thought process. This is not the way IKEA wants to represent itself….because the one in California was not only organized but clean and very professionally done with emphasis on quality and care of there merchandise. I feel that this store here in Ft Lauderdale was just thrown together to open it doors….it is what it is attitude that has disappointed this store.
