Boulevard Hotel: Very bad experience  

This place was awful. I have stayed in a lot of hotels all over the US, the Caribbean and Europe and this was by far the worst. When we arrived, the elevator was broken so we had to drag our bags up to our room. The room was very small, which I could have dealt with, but it was also quite dirty. There were hairs and stains all over the towels and sheets and the bathroom was not very clean at all. On the first night, I took a bath and the front desk called us twice asking if there was standing water in our bathroom because the people below us had a leak. The bed had springs popping out and was very uncomfortable. The sheets were thin and did not fit well on the bed. Each morning at around 5:45 a garbage truck unloaded right outside our room… this was quite loud and disturbing. Each morning I awoke with small bug bites all over my legs and arms… I’m not kidding. My husband, however, did not get any bites so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt on that one! Beyond the fact that it has a great location right on South Beach, this place really is a dump. Spring for the extra cash and get something better if you wish to have a place to relax after a long day of sight seeing and beach going.
