Hosteria Romana: Terrible experience at Hosteria Romana

Don’t go! I have been to many fine Italian restaurants and my boyfriend is Italian, and we are in agreement that this place serves horrible, overpriced food. I have never sent food back before but was forced to when the “fresh tomato sauce” was obviously out of a Hunt’s can and the gnocchi was frozen. We also found some sort of stem-like residue at the bottom of our wine which was the cap to a terrible dining experience. Avoid this place at all costs. If it wasn’t for tourists this establishment would have absolutely no business. I had given it another try because I thought it might not be as bad as I remembered, but it was worse. The food is a terrible value for the money and the service was rude.

WoW! Either you hold a grudge against a personnel or you dated one of them to be so overly exagerated about the whole thing… Out of 25 of us who have been to the restaurant, it was the most unbelievable food we ever had and I heard more comments from others and locals…
12 of our friend circle are true Italian so maybe you got the wrong address but you sure should consider changing your food habits, Chinese, french, etc.

I have to agree with the last 2 comments posted against you. My husband and I found that place when we were out there in Oct.2007 and ate there 3 nights out of 5. The food was incredible! (And my Nonna is off the boat so I know Italian food!!!) The staff was super and the 8 year old guitar player was definitly unexpected and cool! We even brought friends back the last day and they loved it also. The 4 of us plus 2 more will see them again in May 2008!
