Mercury Hotel: Not impressed with Boutique Hotel  

Unfortunately, I just had a bad experience that seemed to be pervasive over the 4 days I stayed at the Mercury.  I was in town for a wedding and booked at the Mercury.  Our room had seen better days with the carpet freying.  After we turned on the AC, the room began to gain a dumpster stink.  When I complained, basically I was told too bad. They would not move me. They said they would neutralize the smell, only housekeeping never showed up. All weekend, we had to beg for more towels. Our room did not have towel racks, so we could only use them once. Basically, the room smelled, the service was lacking and it was expensive for what you got. Other friends had much better experiences elsewhere.
