Cafe Nuvo: Nice atmosphere, bad service at Cafe Nuvo

I visited Cafe Nuvo last year during March. The weather was great, and we noticed this cute little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to eat outside. The chairs were beautifully decorated and comfortable for a long diner. Our waitress took a long time to great us, and the service was very slow. We never were asked how our food was, and our waters were never refreshed. The waitress also did not know the fish of the day in detail. We ordered apps. a main course, a bottle of wine, and dessert, and yet we still did not recieve addequite service. I’m not sure if service is different in South Beach than Boston, but I am hesitant to spend that kind of money again for the lack of service we recieved. Overall, the food was good, the atmoshere is great, and yet I left upset because of the service.

Cafe Nuvo is located at 412 Espanola Way., Miami Beach.

I had a great nut-crusted chicken dish for lunch, and they even had a doggy menu. Nice seating, very accommodating, but we were early, so that may have attributed to the extra attention.
