Fontainebleau Hotel: Major embarrassment  

My boss treated his in-laws to a week’s stay at the hotel. He made arrangements to have EVERY room charge charged onto his credit card. The appropriate paperwork was filled out and sent back. When my boss’ in-laws checked out, they were charged for the stay. Not only that, but they were awoken on two different mornings with construction work. When they called the front desk, they were told it must be the guest upstairs and they would “look into it”. When the in-laws went to see what was really going on upstairs, they come to find out that construction for the $1 billion renovation was taking place. My boss was embarrassed that his in-laws wound up paying for their gift even after all the arrangements had been confirmed, reconfirmed and reconfirmed again. Speaking to people there is like talking to the wall. One individual in particular Nashelly sounds like she can’t be bothered by this situation and she works in the department that made all the arrangements for!
