We rented scooters from Star Scoots aka South Beach Scooters and paid $150 in cash. They asked for a $550 deposit to place a hold on our credit card for the rental. We were told by Sam that this would not be charged, it was simply a hold. Well guess what, the $550 went through as a charge. After several attempts on trying to resolve this over the phone with “Sam”, we got nowhere, as they kept giving me the run around. I am disputing this with Visa, and the merchant is not being cooperative. Don’t give the $550 deposit. You will be ripped off. They have been reported to the Better Business Bureau more than 6 times.
