Don’t believe the hype. I’m sorry to say that I can’t understand why the ‘Special’ steak has been rated No.1. I know of a number of restaurants that have New York strips of the same quality or better. I liked the bone-in filet mignon, but it was good, not excellent. The breads were excellent, and the souffle an interesting touch for the dessert, though a little heavy. The vegetable sides were nice, though nothing special. The coffee was excellent. The sommelier was amusing, though, unless you are picking specific vintages, a little vague.
We had a pleasant meal, but more of that was the company rather than the food. I was rather disappointed with the attitude of the waiter who was more interested in the tip than the service, which seems to be self-defeating. Basic report is ‘Could do better’, especially on the food.
