Creek 28: Closed for the Summer

Imagine our surprise. We had made reservations with Creek 28 for dinner this evening using OpenTable.com. Confirmed. When we arrived there was a note on the door saying that “after careful consideration” they had decided to close as of the 16th (no month listed - their voice mail announcement clarifies that they have been closed since May 16 - today is 6/6/2010). This isn’t mentioned if you visit their website!
We were giving them a second chance as the first visit left us thirsty for days due to the chef’s heavy hand with the salt shaker. Otherwise, the food was imaginative, the price was reasonable, the atmosphere comfortable and the service spot on. So, hopefully they will reopen in October, 2010. In the mean time PLEASE CALL BEFORE YOU GO HERE!
