Sushi Siam: Where’s my Birthday dessert?

My wife and two sons took me to Sushi Siam on Lincoln for my Birthday last Sunday. When we were finished with our three course gourmet dinner, we were advised that dessert would not be available since the kitchen was closed. Kitchen ? for ice-cream and lychee ? There was also a “mandatory” 18% service charge built into the check. We we not allowed to speak with a manager. Needless to say, we would never return, and would encourage others to do the same.
Sushi Siam is located at 1440 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139.

Hi Kim, sorry to hear that your experience was so bad as Sushi Siam. Many restaurants in South Beach include service in the bill because of all the Europeans that come and wouldn’t tip otherwise. But did you know that you have the right to reduce this amount if you’re not happy with the service? Tell the manager you would like to reduce your gratuity if it happens again in the future somewhere else in South Beach.
