Jai-Alai means "Merry Festival" in the Basque language.
Jai-Alai came to Cuba from Spain in 1898, and was successfully introduced
as a professional game at the Miami Fronton in 1926. It is the world's
fastest ball game.
Miami Jai-Alai is located on NW 37th Avenue in
Miami. Jai-Alai matches are played year-round from noon to 5pm (closed:
Tuesdays). Evening matches start at 7pm Mon, Fri and Sat. They also
have simulcast wagering, and a card room for poker and dominoes.

From I-95 to Miami Jai-Alai:
- Go toward Downtown Miami/Miami
Int'l Airport.
- Merge onto Airport Expy/FL-112
W via Exit 4 toward Airport.
- Take the NW 36th Street Exit
toward Miami Springs.
- Merge onto NW 36th Sreet.
- Make a U-Turn at N LeJeune
Road onto NW 36th Street.
- Turn Right onto
