Michael Bay (Director/Producer) Is Moving To Miami Beach, FL

Hollywood movie director, Michael Bay, is moving to Miami Beach. Canada.com is reporting that he purchased Hulk Hogan’s home on North Bay Road for a little more than the $18.9 million asking price. Hogan paid a reported $12 million in 2006. No comment. The bayfront home has six bedrooms in the main house and two guest apartments, a five car garage, cabana and pool, and a high tech security system.

Did Michael Bay make a good investment? You judge…

Michael Bay is no stranger to Miami - he directed his first movie here - “Bad Boys” staring Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. Read the review

Michael likes to hang out with the boys…

He was also one of the first people to purchase an apartment at Element. In 2005, he contracted to purchase one of Element’s $5-million penthouse apartments.

Sounds like Michael Bay may be going all “Miami Vice” on us. That’s cool. We need a new role model. Mickey Rourke isn’t cutting it, and Shaq is selling his house on Star Island.

I wonder why Michael is leaving LA? “Transformers” was a big, big success.

For A-list directors like himself, Southern California is paradise.

I hope Michael realizes Southern Florida is different. Life in Miami is not just high rise condos and sexy parties at the Forge.

Miami Beach is a pretty small island - it’s only about 70 blocks long. It’s flat. There’s no place fun to drive. That is, unless you have a boat, and I’m sure Michael will have a few.

To be on the safe side, one of his assistants should send him the link to my article “The 10 Things I Hate About Miami”. Tell him to read the comments, they should help prepare him for what life here can be like.

Welcome to Miami, Michael!

Happy to be your neighbor.

Do you plan to make any more movies here?

Please allow me to be the first to pitch you! =)

We got a dark, futuristic action pic that’s right up your alley.

THINK: “Escape From New York” meets “An Inconvenient Truth” with a dose of “Rush Hour” and “Mad Max.”
