The 25th Annual Miami Carnival is going on this weekend and Miami will be alive with the sounds and celebrations of the Caribbean. Pan/Tassa Rama will be in Bicentennial Park Saturday and the Parade and Festival will be there Sunday. Related parties or “fetes” are going on all over town for the next week. Click here for a complete list.

The Italian Film Festival is also in town this weekend. The Opening Night After Party will be at SET tonight and nightly after parties will take place at Mansion, Louis, and again at SET.

In music, the 2nd season of the DWNTWN Miami Concert Series begins at Bayfront Park Friday with Suenalo, Fancy Me Yet and Jahfe; Theivery Corporation and the Australian Pink Floyd Show are both at the Fillmore Miami Beach.

The Historical Museum of Southern Florida is offering a Lincoln Road Walking Tour and a Village of Pinecrest Bike Tour. As it is the second Saturday of the month, families get free admission at Miami Art Museum 1pm - 4pm. While there, check out the newly opened Guillermo Kuitca exhibit. And Ayesha’s Kitchen is offering a Traditional Vegetarian Indian Fare cooking class.

Be sure to visit the Event Calendar for films, club parties, and more going on this weekend. Is your event missing from the Calendar? Send it to us now!
