South Beach Hotel Group offers free airport shuttle service from Miami International Airort (MIA) to and from any of their South Beach hotels. The hotels they provide transportation to include: Catalina, Chelsea, Chesterfield, Lilly Leon, Mercury, Shelley, and Whitelaw.

Here’s how the shuttle service works—After you arrive at the airport, go to the Top floor (Departures) Terminal G, and wait under the Hotel Shuttle sign. The shuttle bus departs every two hours.

Shuttle Schedule and Transportation Details

MIA to Hotel:
9am*, 11am*, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 9pm, 11pm

Chesterfield Hotel to MIA:
8am, 10am*, 12pm*, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm, 10pm

* Excludes Wednesdays

  • Shuttle service is for Miami International Airport only and is available seven days a week.
  • Be ready to board. Vans cannot park at the shuttle stop for a long period of time. Wave down the driver if necessary.  The vans are easily recognizable with a South Beach Hotel Group logo on the side.
  • Please make sure to schedule your return trip to the airport at least 6 hours before your departure time.

"Miami Airport Shuttle (FREE)"

Tiffany says:

Do you travel to the loft hotel for free as well?

Posted on 07/07/2009 at 8:54 PM

Gus says:

Hi, Tiffinay. No, the bus does not stop at the Loft Hotel. If you’re going to the Loft, the closest hotel the bus stops at is the Chesterfield, which is about 3 city blocks away.

Do you stop at Lowes South Beach Hotel?

Posted on 09/16/2009 at 8:09 AM

Gus says:

Hi, Kathy, the free shuttle is for South Beach Hotel Group customers (but that’s not to say you couldn’t tip the driver to drop you at the Loews).

If you decide to take a taxi, the flat rate from MIA to the Loews Hotel is $32.

Hope you have a great vacation!

Does the shuttle stop at or near the Cavalier hotel in South Beach

Posted on 09/30/2009 at 1:45 PM

Gus says:

Nana, the Cavalier is located at 1320 Ocean Drive. The closest shuttle stop is approx. 5 blocks away at the Whitelaw Hotel, at 9th and Collins.

Does the shuttle bus stop by 45th and collins

Posted on 11/22/2009 at 10:23 AM

Gus says:

Hi, Monica. No. The airport shuttle stops at 20th Street… However, the city bus can take you to 45th and Collins from 20th Street.

Posted on 11/22/2009 at 11:14 AM

Monica says:

Do you have to be staying in any of those hotels or anyone can ride the shuttle bus
Thanks

Posted on 11/22/2009 at 12:18 PM

Gus says:

Yes, the shuttle is for hotel guests, but there is no harm in asking the driver for a lift.

FYI, the flat rate for a taxi to Mid Miami Beach is around $40.

Hope you have a great vacation!

Jen says:

Do you go to 36th st on Collins Ave?

Posted on 06/08/2010 at 7:18 AM

Gus says:

Hi, Jen. No, the free shuttle only goes as far north as 20th and Collins. However, the Airport Flyer (city bus) goes past 36th and Collins. See the map:

http://forums.miamibeach411.com/general-travel-recreation/5553-public-transportation-miami-airport-just-got-cheaper.html

The Airport Flyer (Route 150) runs from about 6am to 11pm, seven days a week, and cost $2.35 each way.

Ashley says:

if we were to stay at the Red South Hotel, are we aloud on this bus for free? or would we have to pay?

Posted on 05/14/2011 at 2:37 PM

Gus says:

Hi, Ashley. Red is not part of South Beach Hotel, so the answer is no, but If you were really needed to get from the Airport to the beach (and offered to give the driver a good tip) they may give you a ride.

Another option for cheap transportation is the Airport Flyer express bus.

The Airport Flyer makes traveling to or from Miami International Airport fast, easy and convenient. For just $2.35 each way, passengers can ride in style aboard 40-foot buses equipped with luggage racks and comfortable seating.

The bus runs every 30 minutes and provides express service from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. The Airport Flyer travels between MIA and Miami Beach.

Hope this helps.

Carol says:

What is the best and cheapest way to get from the Miami Airport to the Courtyard Marriott Oceanfront hotel at 3925 Collins Ave?

Posted on 06/20/2011 at 3:28 AM

Gus says:

Carol, the cheapest way to get from Miami Airport to the hotel is the Airport Flyer (Route 150) city bus. Service is available from 6am to 11pm, seven days a week. The route passes right in front of you hotel. There is a link to more information on comment #18 above.

Have a great vacation!

jenny says:

JennyIf one is staying near the whitewall hotel can u still hop on this shuttle bus??????

Posted on 08/13/2011 at 2:19 PM

Gus says:

Hi, Jenny. The official answer is, no, but that’s not to say it’s never been done. wink

From my experience, driver’s are more inclined to not ask any questions, if you give them a tip.

If you decide to give it a try, please let us know how it goes.

Hello Which of the hotels (south beach hotels) the shuttle drops you off in front? I will be traveling with my family. South beach has beautiful hotels, but before I book I need to know which hotel will be closer for the shuttle to drop us off.
