* Follow signs for Biscayne Blvd. South, and turn right at the traffic light.

we are going on a cruise for 7 days, where could be park safely and at an inexpensive rate

Hi, Dave and Zora, thanks for posting your questions.
The cheapest and most convenient place to park your vehicle is in the public parking lot at the Port.
Your other option is to park in Downtown Miami at Bayside Market Place, but that is more expensive, and would require you to take a taxi to the Port Terminal.

We are going on the Norwegian Dawn in a couple of weeks. Could you tell me the closest long term parking lot to the terminal where the Dawn will be docked. Thank you, John & Jenny

Hi John & Jenny,
The closets parking will be at the Port. The cost is $20 per day. Sorry there’s not a cheaper option. You could park near the Airport for $10, but then you’d have to pay for a taxi to the Port.
Enjoy your cruise!

Hello. Do you know of any instances where the parking at the port has been unavailable? I am cruising in 3 weeks and plan to park at the port but I would not know what to do if it was full.

Hi, Brooke. I’ve never heard about parking at the Port selling out. I think you’ll be fine.
Have a great cruise!

Say Gus, Is there any allowance made for anyone parking at the Miami Port while cruising if they possess a registered “Handycap Parking Pass”? We took a Caribbean cruise in 2004 and was surprised that we were allowed Free Parking because of the Pass. None of your conversations above mention it…

Pat, Ron, this is all the parking info I could find their website:
Parking:
Parking is available in facilities located in front of individual cruise terminals. No reservations are required to park at the Port of Miami. Long-term parking for a regular vehicle occupying a single space is $20 per day. Short term parking is $7.00 if you are coming to see someone off but, not intended for overnight parking. All Cruises in the current itineraries would fall under Long Term Parking.
Rates will vary for larger vehicles (ie., oversized vans, recreational vehicles and vehicles with trailers). If the vehicle is over 20’ in length then an additional $20.00 is added per day. Therefore, these larger (ie., oversized vans, recreational vehicles and vehicles with trailers) cost $40.00 per day and all oversized vehicles can only park in Lot #2.
Currently garages C, G, J, and Lot # 2 accept either cash, credit (Visa, MasterCard, American Express only), or any major U.S. Travelers check.

Is long term parking at the port of Miami free for vehicles that have handicapped plates? We are leaving in a few weeks on a cruise and I am looking for cheap long term parking?

Hi, Jonell. Sorry, but POM charges vehicles with handicapped plates to park. That being said, the cheapest place to store your car is sill at the Port.
Enjoy your cruise!

FYI- port did “run out” of parking when I went on my cruise. My mother had to circle around for an hour and then they finally opened up another lot. She was very stressed that she would miss the ship and came on board in tears. It all worked out, but they should have had the other area opened up much earlier to avoid stressing out the patrons.

Passing through and thought we would spend the day in the Miami beach area. Need to park a 36’ RV just for the day. We have a jeep to get around. Is this the best place to park? Thanks!

Eleanor, a shuttle for 1 to 4 passengers, from Pompano to Port of Miami costs $244. Call 305-754-2206 for more information.
Carrie, yes. Taxis are available at the Port, after disembarkation.
Julie, I suggest parking your RV in Miami Beach, near the Miami Beach Convention Center (1700 Convention Center Drive).
