Miami Skylift in Bayfront Park is Closed

The Miami Skylift in Bayfront Park has closed.  The balloon has been removed from the Park.

The ride open in December of 2007 and closed in July 2008.

I always wanted to take the balloon ride, but never did.

I’m sure happy vxla made this video so we can see what it was like…

Did anyone else do it?

   Excuse the pun, but it’s a shame the balloon has flown away. I’m the person who took that video and enjoyed the ride while it was there.

   vxla, thanks for commenting and sharing your video with us.

   I was told by a police officer that one of the Skylift’s biggest obstacles was the wind. Frequently, they were forced to close due to bad weather.
