Nothing’s better than some Disney Magic to brighten my birthday (today i turn 38). Yesterday, while driving down 95 I saw a Disney Wolrd billboard advertising Amimal Kingdom‘s new ride Expedition Everest: Mission Himalayas. The billboard looks cool. The ride sounds fun too:
Expedition Everest is a 4 minute long high-speed runaway train ride that combines coaster-like thrills with the folklore of the yeti. Riders depart from a Himalayan village and venture into the snowy Asian peaks. En route, you encounter torn tracks, spiral backwards through an ice cavern and race into and out of the mountain. Kids must be over 44 inches tall to ride.
With a peak nearly 200 feet high, Expedition Everest is located in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Inside the Magic, a Disney podcast-site, has posted a ride-through video from the new coaster. The Quicktime MOV is 38 MB.
