I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (New Year’s Eve Recovery Edition)

The big party is over! Now what do you do???

If you’re looking to take it easy, how about taking in a show? On the stage, Sweeney Todd is at the Carnival Center today (1/1) through Sunday (1/6); The Drowsy Chaperone is at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts today through the 13th; The Heat is On, the life of Rita Hayworth in concert, is at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Friday (1/4) and Saturday (1/5). If you’re looking for a legend, Plácido Domingo is at the BankAtlantic Center Friday.

On the screen, it’s Fellini month at Miami Beach Cinematheque and the film this Friday is Giulietta degli spiriti (Juliet of the Spirits) with Toby Dammit. Also at the Cinematheque is Celluloid #1 on Saturday. Catching either of these films will get you complimentary tickets to Tuesday’s (1/8) exclusive preview of Francis Ford Coppola’s Youth Without Youth at the Colony Theater - it’s the only way to get in! Or take in the film version of Sweeney Todd, starring Johnny Depp, at the Regal Cinema.

If you’re looking to entertain the kids, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus is at the AmericanAirlines Arena Friday through the 13th; or Momentum Dance Company will be giving a free performance of Peter & the Wolf and Goldilocks & the Three Bears at the Coral Gables Library Saturday morning.

Just in case you need more partying, catch DJ Tiesto at Mansion tonight and DJ Axwell will be there Saturday.
