I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (Miami Carnival and a Nude Photo Shoot)

The 23rd Annual Miami Carnival will be at Bicentennial Park all day Sunday (10/7). Here’s what else is going on…

See Argentine Tango at The Colony Theater Friday (10/5) and Saturday (10/6) nights (they will also be performing next Friday and Saturday).

The Carnival Center is having a busy weekend with Freddy Cole’s Quartet in the Studio Theater Friday and Saturday with Brazil’s Deborah Colker Dance Company performing Rota in the Ziff Ballet Opera House both nights as well. Broadway diva Patti LuPone is performing in the Knight Concert Hall Sunday night (10/7). Tuscan Steak and Carnival Center are offering a dinner and show package, including transportation, for the evening.

Arts at St Johns is offering a season preview with a showcase, “Home is Where the Art Is”, Saturday night. Also Saturday night, Generation X is hosting a Carnival Cooler Block Party at The Castle to get you ready for the big event on Sunday.

Are you a rocker or a walker? Velvet Revolver, Alice in Chains, and Sparta are in concert at Sound Advice Amphitheatre and Miami Walk for Farm Animals both happen on Sunday.

I can’t forget the nudity!!! Spencer Tunick is running a nude photo shoot at the Sagamore Hotel on Monday (10/8). I hope more of you are looking to participate than to gawk…

Let me tell you about early next week as well. Daughtry is at Hard Rock Live on Tuesday (10/9). Fashion Week Miami Beach and The Classical Theatre of Harlem’s production of Romeo and Juliet both kick off Wednesday (10/10) and run through the week. And get your tickets if you haven’t already! Ricky Martin is performing Wednesday, Thursday (10/11), and Friday (10/12) in the newly renovated Jackie Gleason Theater (now called The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater).

This just in… Friday night (10/5) at Mansion is Purple’s Playhouse with DJ Homicide. Saturday (10/6), Prive welcomes Danity Kane’s Aubrey O’Day with DJ Konflikt. Club Space will feature Oscar G Saturday night and Pablo Cabellos Sunday morning afterhours on the terrace.
