I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (Book, Cars and Fashion)

For the book lovers, the Miami Book Fair International, which has been going on all week, concludes on Sunday (11/11). For the car lovers, the South Florida International Auto Show begins at the Convention Center on Friday (11/9) and goes on until (get this!!) Sunday the 19th. That’s ten whole days! And you fashion lovers will want to be at the Fashion Designers Expo at the Hyatt Regency and Convention Center Thursday (11/8) through Saturday (11/10).

Thursday, Morrissey is at the Fillmore Miami Beach; Miami Contemporary Dance Company is holding a benefit cocktail reception at Karu & Y; Refugee: A Musical of Freedom and Resistance begins at Carnival Center’s Studio Theater (runs through Sunday); and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes begins at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts (may seem a little early for this but they’re only there until December 2nd).

Friday is the final day of the Goya exhibit at the Freedom Tower; Gigi D’Alessio and Anna Tatangelo are at Hard Rock Live; and Sunset Cinema‘s film for the next week changes to Fred Claus.

Where to be on Saturday? RBD is back in concert at the AA Arena; comedienne Lisa Lampanelli is at the Fillmore Miami Beach; Bob Sinclar is the special guest DJ at Mansion; Paul Van Dyk is at Space; and the Chopin Foundation is holding it’s 30th Anniversary Gala at the Surf Club.

Sunday you could watch the Dolphins host the Bills; learn how to master your dog with Cesar Millan at Carnival Center’s Knight Concert Hall; or spend the evening with Queen Latifah at the Fillmore Miami Beach.

Don’t forget Monday (11/12) is Veteran’s Day! Not only is it a day to honor those who have fought for our freedom in the past, be sure to remember those who are serving our country today (whether we agree with it or not). There will be a parade and ceremony on Washington Ave beginning at 10am.

Still looking for more? Visit the Event Calendar. If your event isn’t there, send it to me!

This just in…ROKBAR‘s Grand Opening is going on this weekend. Wild parties Thursday and Friday!
