I’m Bored, What’s There To Do? (2/28 - 3/4)

ABOVE: Bob Marley Movemt Festival; Saturday March 3 (1pm - midnight)

The Winter Party Festival runs Wednesday (2/28) through Monday (3/5); the Riverwalk Blues & Music Festival is Friday (3/2) to Sunday(3/4); the Miami International Film Festival runs Friday (3/2) through March 11th; the one-day-only Bob Marley Movement Festival is Saturday (3/3); and the Subtropics Experimental Music & Sound Arts Festival winds up this weekend on Sunday (3/4). 

Here’s what else is going on…Wednesday (2/28) brings A Taste of the Garden at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, Patti LaBelle to the BankAtlantic Center, and Victor Manuelle & Friends to Hard Rock Live. Thursday (3/1) there’s a Paris Shopping Party at Oyuki, Jorge Drexler will perform at the North Beach Bandshell, and Merce Cunningham and John Cage’s Ocean begins at Carnival Center’s Knight Concert Hall (through Sunday). Friday (3/2) you’ll have to check out one of the previously mentioned events. Saturday (3/3) there’s a Life By Design Workshop & Seminar at the Intercontinental Hotel Miami (RSVP and pre-payment required, so call now!!!) and the 8th Annual Ball of the Wild, a benefit for the MetroZoo, at the JW Marriott Hotel. Sunday (3/4) brings Engelbert Humperdinck to Hard Rock Live and Richard Nader’s Doo Wop Reunion to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Monday (3/5) check out the No Fear Tour, featuring Killswitch, Engage, Dragonforce, Chimaira, and He Is Legend, at Revolution.

Also, Bodies…The Exhibition and Modernism in American Silver: 20th Century Design will be ending in March so visit while you can. Sunday (3/4) is Community Appreciation Day at the Wolfsonian. You can visit the Modernism in American Silver exhibit for free 12pm - 6pm.
