Take a Bus Tour Around Miami—Narrated in 5 Languages (Video)

November 11, 2008 By Gus in Miami: Travel News  | 19 Comments

MiamiBeach411.com in partnership with Miami Tour Company  is unveiling an advanced GPS audio tour system onboard our new tour buses, today.

Miami Tour Company gives visitors a new way to experience the City, by providing guided audio tours in multiple languages simultaneously.

Hi, Folks! It’s here. This is the project I’ve been dreaming of launching since 2002, and after 10 months of research and development, and an extremely large investment (especially for a small company like MiamiBeach411), we made it to the finish line.

I am very excited to announce that MiamiBeach411 is moving from the information super highway to the actual roads and highways around the City by offering daily bus tours of Miami, narrated in 5 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, and Italian.

Utilizing satellite (GPS) technology, Miami Tour Company tells entertaining stories told by professional actors, supported by a rich audio tour experience, complete with music and sound effects.

Our tours evoke a sense of history while providing visitors with an entertaining sightseeing adventure. By removing language barriers for travelers, we provide our guests with engaging stories about the area. Stories other tour companies won’t tell you—the good, the bad, and even the ugly. We’re pleased to offer a journey through time that moves away from the usual, boring, and often false commentary told by other tour operators, to a well-crafted experience that captivates our visitors’ imagination.

The Tour was written by a team of Miami writers who tell the vivid story of the city’s rich history through the eyes, ears and memories of locals. The 3 hour journey contains hundreds of interesting landmarks and weird stories that only the knowledge and experience of a local can offer. (see: tour map)

The launch of Miami Tour Company is a big turning point for us and the fulfillment of a long time dream. It’s also a big risk - we’re going to need to generate the same level of enthusiasm that I have for it across the community; no small task. It’s one of those moments where we’ll find out if Gus really does have his finger on the pulse of what Miami visitors want.

As you may have read, our buses are already on the road fine tuning the tour. We’d love to get your feedback, and what better way than to let you experience it yourself.

That’s right. To celebrate our launch, we’re offering free City Tours through November 16. To make a reservation, book online and use Discount Code: MTC4FREE.

Judy says:

Gus & Michelle - Great tour at a reasonable price and fantastic customer service!!! We did the city /boat tour Oct 23/08 prior to a cruise.  We had never been to Miami and wanted to see it for ourselves and potential clients - we are travel agents.  Your city tour with driver/commentator Ricky was extremely informative, in depth and gave a great overview of Miami.  The boat cruise was enjoyable as well and a nice way to end the day.

Congratulations to you both in making your dream a reality. All the best - we’ll spread the word in Canada.

Katina says:

Ok if your new in miami and you drink you could pretty much go into any bar. I usually stick to the grove since you could bar hop. (Start off with Mr. Moes) If you dont drink well Gameworks is fun. Also Strike at Dolphine Mall is awesome. Its bowling…..Ummmm lets see, South Beach is always fun if you want to dance at a club.

Gus says:

Katina, I don’t understand your comment. Did you mean to post it somewhere else?

Lukas (Toronto) says:

“Stories other tour companies won’t tell you—the good, the bad, and even the ugly.” So relieved to hear that! That’s why I love your site cause you tell it like it is. I laugh out loud for the great one liners. No matter how many sensitive tourists or overprotective locals try and get you to candy coat the tour just tell it how it really is. I can’t wait.

Posted on 12/14/2008 at 6:22 PM

Gus says:

Thanks, Lucas, it feels great to hear you say that.

I promise, there will be no candy coating going on during the tour. We keep it fun and real.

The feedback has been great.

We did have one complaint by a snooty concierge who said she was offend by our portrayal of Miami, and we should only be telling good stories about the City. To heck with her, I say.

We look forward to you joining us!
