Amnesia Miami VIP Opening Night Photos

The new nightclub Amnesia opens this weekend in South Beach at the same location it was originally in during the 1990s. Privately owned by DJ Bob Sinclar and his business partners, the club has been totally renovated from it’s former life as Opium Garden and Prive, and turned into one huge room. Where it was once open air, there is now a new roof over the entire complex so the residents will not be bothered by the music.

OPENING NIGHT IS TONIGHT

I was lucky to be invited last night to the VIP preview. The lights and sound for the club are amazing, but the best thing is the huge dance floor. Miami clubs are known for bottle service and as a result we have been left with clubs filled with tables and no room to dance. But not here. Tables are on one side of the room overlooking the dance floor and at the back of the club, leaving you in no doubt that this is a club for people who want to dance and have a good time.

Table service is not the focus of this new club in Miami

Complimentary cocktails were served all night as Bob Sinclar played for the happy crowd of Miami locals

Amnesia is going to be the hottest club in Miami

This club wants to be different from the other corporate clubs in South Beach. They want to give us a club for everyone to have a good time and a friendly door policy instead of expensive bottle service and the velvet rope dramas.  So check it out and have fun!

Great article, Jess! When I moved to Miami, Amnesia was open and they used to have foam parties. The year I turned 21, foam parties stopped and Amnesia closed. I am happy to see it is open once again, and is daring to be different. I’m excited to check it (now I will be able to get in)! smile

Wow. Is that like, and actual dance floor? With people, like actually dancing?!

You mean to tell me Amnesia has the gall to try and use that space to let people have fun instead of filling it with tables and bottles? Who are these maniacs? Where do they think they are? This is not Las Vay-gahs! This is not Eye-Bee-Thuh! How dare they try and turn our exclusive South Beach vibe into some sort of venue that all kinds of people can get into and enjoy. I’m calling for a boycott!!!

That said, I like the incorporation of that face on the front of the building in other things in there. Always thought that was really cool.
