White Party 30th Anniversary (11/26 - 12/1)

"White Party Week, which began in 1984 and is organized by Florida’s HIV/AIDS service organization Care Resource, returns for its Diamond Jubilee this November. “This is our 30th anniversary, our time to shine, our rebirth and rejuvenation,” Care Resource and White Party Miami Marketing Manager Jonathan Welsh told ChicagoPride.com.

Organizers are again encouraging Chicagoans to forgo the November cold for a sunny weekend in Miami with the sexiest crowd from around the world.

“Skip the turkey dinner and schlep to Miami this Thanksgiving,” said Welsh. “You will enjoy not only the musical journey, but also the careful thought and planning that is going into every detail of the week — from decor to venues, cocktails and talent.”

It all begins with White Journey, the signature kick-off dance event at Cameo nightclub presented by Eliad Cohen, Luis Morera, Jerry Torres and Jared Needle; and featuring superstar DJ Joe Gauthreaux, on Thursday, Nov. 27.

On Friday, Nov. 28, witness a stellar night in sight and sound at White Dreams, presented in association with Hilton Wolman’s Salvation at Club Space with DJs Ivan Gomez and Alain Jackinsky.

The White Splash Pool Party kicks-off Sat. Nov. 29 at the National Hotel with DJ Grind. Cirque Blanc, the Women’s White Party, presented by Pandora Events, takes place Sat., Nov. 29 at Nikki Beach Club with DJ Affect. The night will be hosted by Whitney Mixter from VH1 and The Real L Word.

The 30th anniversary of White Party, A Diamond Jubilee, will take place Saturday, Nov. 29 at the Perez Art Museum of Miami. The event is a rebirth of it in true VIP fashion as attendees are invited to dress to impress in their finest formal wear. The evening will also feature the premier performance of DJ David Knapp and the White Party Symphony, as conducted by Sam Hyken.

“I am taking music and adding a whole new layer with strings, bass, horns, piano and percussion. It is a whole new level of sophistication and excitement. Together, with DJ David Knapp, we are going to take guests through 30 years of music – songs that were popular from White Party’s past,” said Hyken. “It will be epic.”

White Starz at Score nightclub with DJs Isaac Escalante and Paulo will take guests into the wee hours.

On Sunday, Nov. 30, Muscle Beach, the sexiest dance party on the sand, will feature an opening set by DJ Tristan Jaxx followed by DJ Micky Friedmann, direct from Berlin. Noche Blanca, a dance party extravaganza, produced in association with URGE Miami, at Mansion nightclub features the legendary DJ Abel spinning until dawn.

The parties continue on Monday, Dec. 1 with Swan Song at TWIST and White Horizons, the legendary morning party at Mekka, with DJ Morabito.
