All cruise ships arriving at US ports are
subject to unannounced inspection. Ships are rated to determine if
they meet CDC sanitation standards in the following areas: food preparation
and holding; potential contamination of food and general cleanliness;
storage and repair.
A score of 86 or above is considered "satisfactory" while
ratings of 85 and below are considered "unsatisfactory."
CDC reports are updated monthly, while ships are inspected periodically.
