With 46 dancers, the Miami City Ballet is one of the largest ballet
companies in the United States. The Company has four home counties
in South Florida: Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Collier.
Founding Artistic Director, Edward Villella, was the first American-born
male star of the New York City Ballet. He was awarded the National
Medal of Arts and was inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of
Fame.
