User reviewsPearl "A South Beach Favorite"Date: January 11, 2006 Reviewer: Miami Beach 411 User, Atlanta, GA From the first time I experienced Pearl, consistently through continuous trips to Miami, it has been excellent. The food, the drinks, the staff, and the ambiance are at the top of my list. I love it and every single trip to Miami includes dinner at Pearl. I highly, highly recommend it!! Pearl "This Place is a Must" Date: January 6, 2006 Reviewer: Miami Beach 411 User, Miami, FL love Pearl. It's so classy & cozy at the same time. The decor is amazing & everytime I go I never have a problem. I always love going there for dinner or just for a good time at the lounge. It's my favorite. Pearl "Great Waiter/Snotty Hostess" Date: November 8, 2005 Reviewer: Miami Beach 411 User, New York, NY We called ahead and said we were coming for dinner and then to the club. We walked in and went to the bar for a drink. We only had to wait a moment for seating and this was on an hour's notice to the restaurant. We were seated but the hostess was a snot. She never smiled and she simply was very rude. She sat our table of six. The waiter on the other hand, Nick from New Jersey was so wonderful. He was just great and it was a good thing he came along because she successfully overshadowed any harsh feelings with our seating! When we left I made another attempt to be courteous and say thank you to the hostess frankly just to tick her off, for she had a chip on her shoulder the size of Rhode Island!!! They definitely need to rethink their hostess! Your first impression is with the hostess and for a classy place with beautiful decor she was classless!!!!!! The food was great and the waiter was great though! Thanks NICK! The club was a blast too. Pearl "Fabulous Food" Date: August 10, 2005 Reviewer: Miami Beach 411 User, Manhattan, NYC Loved the place. Great atmosphere and ambiance. From the moment we walked in we were courteously greeted and escorted to our table. The service was impecable and the food was deliciously decadent!!! Pearl "$18 for bellini and mimosa, stupid prices!" Date: May 15, 2005 Reviewer: Miami Beach 411 User, NY Snotty and stuck up people in this place, and the price for food and drinks - ridiculous. Not worth it. I dont mind wasting $ for food, but at least serve a good portion. Just tasteless. Pearl "Door Man Cool - Side kicks lost" Date: May 15, 2005 Reviewer: Miami Beach 411 User, Nassau, Bahamas Sunday nights Pearl and Niki beach is the place to be in South beach. Front desk staff at my hotel made reservations for myself and guest. We arrived at 9:15 for 9:30 reservation. On arrival I was met with a velvet rope I didn't see anyone to let me in so I then pulled the rope and proceeded to the res with my guest. That was fine but a Lady came out and said to me Your not to pull that rope, Being a little confused, I ask her then how do I get in she said we pull the rope. I said but no one was there to pull the rope. The door man then came and took control and asked if I had a reservation. I said yes and gave him my name. he directed me to go in. I then spoke to another lady at a desk and she wasn't sure about my reservation. At this time I'm still fine because I'm in the industry and I said these guys are busy and the nights not going so well give them a break, at which time another gentleman came and he was aware of the reservation. We were sat at our table on the outside patio next to the stair case, 10 mins went by before anyone came to the table and when the waitress came she said you can't sit here because this is for dinning only, at which time my guest sort of lost it and said you guys are lost, and do you want us in this place. Just to fast track ahead, We ordered. I really like that they gave you this sample plate complements of the culinary team. that was great but everything afterwards was horrible, so even after all the problems with getting to that point I was expecting a nice dinner what I got was horrible food. I lost it when I asked for beef tenderloin and got pork tenderloin. I must say guys you could save so much on your labor if you got rid of some of those guys at the front and put more on the service, side. In closing Pearl was the worst dinning experience I ever had, I payed my bill left the Entree after trying one peace, and took off. Get with program guys your an establishment selling food drinks service, and atmosphere. If you're going to give that much hassle getting in then make sure its good. Pearl "Loved the dessert" Date: May 22, 2004 Reviewer: Miami Beach 411 User, Cape Cod, MA Although most of us try to stay away from desserts, please, for your sake, just try the dessert, especially a chocolate one. It is AMAZING, you can't pass it up. Food was awesome too, But bring a full wallet... Have you been to Pearl in South Beach? Please share your opinion of it with others.
