My wife and I paid our first visit to South Beach the week before
Christmas and loved it. After reading reviews of some of the other
SOBE hotels I wasn't expecting much from the staff, but the employees
at The Hotel couldn't have been better. They were totally cool and
super friendly. The location was perfect. Right in the heart of South
Beach. Some of the best places to eat and shop are just out the front
door. And it's only a short block away from the beach. Seems to be
the best section of the beach, too. They were filming a commercial
in Spanish (with bikini-clad models) right in front of us. Plus, as
a guest of The Hotel, you get to use the "luxury" beach
chairs with the extra thick padding--FOC. The concierge was very helpful,
too. We always knew the right three or four clubs to go to each night.
Sweet vacation. We'll be back next year for sure.

It was one of the most private, peaceful (especially rooftop pool)
yet cool, hip and undercover type, off the beaten path hotel in miami.
My husband and i partied a couple nights and chilled out the rest
of our stay...definitely one of the most fulfilling vacations in a
"hotel" that felt more like an extension of our home. seriously,
i'm a very picky, moody person-and this spot was more comfy than the
four seasons! excellence, unfortunately is not common, but "the
hotel" excels in style, taste, ambiance and service. the name
is fitting for the look, the feel, the enviroment---ultimately, the
essense of hospitality!

I went last year the weekend after Memorial Day weekend. It was ok
no complaints. Our room was just used to sleep and get dressed. I
never experienced bad service and definitely no roaches. Our beds
were always made and clean towels and bathroom everyday.
