I just got back from Miami beach and I stayed at Ocean Five Hotel.
This hotel is not a safe place to stay at. there is smoking drugs
and there are loud people yelling in hall way. the breakfast is terrible.
there is not even toaster!! The service is minimal. you are on your
own to figure out solutions. My phone head set was not working and
they did a report to management and guess what!! nothing ever happened.
If you want to go Miami beach and you want to have a relaxing time,
I would not recommand this hotel. Be safe and enjoy your vacations.

I have stayed at the Ocean Five every year for the last 8 years enroute
to the Bahamas via BlackBeards Cruises. EACH and every time, the hotel
stay has been quiet and staff very accomodating. The rooms I stayed
in have always been ready for occupancy and any issue were immeadiatly
resolved. I frequently use the provided internet kiosk ammenity and
the manager has been very helpful with local sights, cuisine and transportation
( I admit I'm not much on clubbing ) I'm looking forward to this years
trip in a few weeks.

I recently stayed at the Ocean Five hotel. The room was clean and
decent sized. The shower was spacious and tiled in stone-the bathroom
nice in general. We also appreciated the free high speed internet
access. If you choose this hotel-two cautions: 1. don't ask the concierge
for any advice. The man we spoke two sent us on an awful tour-really
felt like we had been lied to and cheated. he also was completely
clueless when asked about restaurants and clubs. 2. if you're trip
is anytime soon, insist on being on the south side of the hotel. there's
a building being constructed (starts around 7-8am each day) directly
next door. The noise was horrible.
