From the minute we arrived we were greeted in a timely fashion
by the valet who immediately helped us with our luggage. The concierge
explained many features of the hotel and places to visit nearby.
The next morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet before
heading out to the dual lagoon shaped pools with waterfall.
We also enjoyed the wide, white sandy beach. The top of the
Falls poolside restaurant had great sandwichee and salads and
we also enjoyed the comfort of the poolside cabanas.
Later that evening we met our friends who were able to tie
up across the street in the Alexander Marina. We had a great
dinner in the hotel's Shula's Steakhouse and then retired for
a quiet evening in our huge suite that is three times the size
of most rooms in other hotels on the beach and left the next
We have stayed for years in South Beach at the Delano, National
and the Loew's and for our money wew will only use the Alexander
from now on. Great value, super staff and the best steaks in
When we checked out and learned that the Alexander was operated
by the same company that owns the Coral Gables Biltmore we then
understood why this was the best experience we have ever had
on Miami Beach. Keep up the good work. We will back next year.

We had a great stay in the Alexander. The employees were professional
and we also had great service with valet parking. We were treated
with respect and were given and kings treatment in a timely
manner. I give it five stars.

My husband and i recently stayed at the alexander and from the
minute we pulled into the Dr.way it was nothing but a nightmare.
The valet ignored us until we had to practically run him over.
When we told him we were checking in he looked at us like we
were crazy.(still don't know what that was all about). Then
when we went to check in we were told they didn't have our reservation.
We had booked thru expedia and had the paperwork with the confirmation
number but he just shook his head and said that they always
have trouble with expedia and basically told us we were screwed.
We waited 2 hours before we even knew if they would give us
a room and the whole time they made us feel like we were trying
to get away with something. Not once did they apoligize or try
to make us feel welcome. They just kept blaming expedia. Finally
they graced us with a room. That night we ate at shula's steak
house and waited an hour and a half after we ordered to get
our food. The lobster was dry and my husbands steak was over
cooked. $200 later we left feeling like we had been taken. Every
time we tried to get our car from the valet he gave us that
same confused look. Isn't that his only job? To bring you your
car? We were never so glad to leave a hotel in our lives and
we will never ever stay there again and we will tell eveyone
we know to do the same.
